
Dr. Al-Amin Ibrahim Al-Amin is a distinguished climate finance and renewable energy expert whose career exemplifies leadership, innovation, and dedication to sustainable development in Africa. A Ph.D. researcher in Sustainable Development at the University of Abuja, Dr. Al-Amin combines strong academic grounding with practical experience in climate finance, renewable energy, and carbon market strategies.
As the Vice President Phoenix Renewable Group he has successfully bridged the gap between renewable energy, E-Mobility and agricultural value chains through climate financing solutions, empowering communities and institutions to adopt sustainable practices. His leadership also extends to Net Zero Impact Group, where he pioneers nature-based climate adaptation and carbon-sequestration initiatives, and Green Allied Trust Limited, a hub for capacity building and enterprise development.
Dr. Al-Amin’s technical expertise has earned him national and international recognition. He has led and represented Nigerian states—Kaduna, Zamfara, Bayelsa, Borno, and Yobe—at successive UNFCCC Conferences of the Parties (COP25, COP26, COP27, COP28 and COP29), advancing sub-national participation in the global climate dialogue. His work has catalyzed financing for renewable energy and agribusiness projects, and he continues to mentor young professionals and drive innovation in clean energy transitions.
