Henry Bassey, is a circular economist with and MBA in Marketing from the Leicester Business school, Demontfort University, UK. He is passionate about environmental sustainability and climate literacy with a focus on contextualising climate solutions for Nigeria and Africa. He is a highly skilled brand marketing, media and communications consultant with a bias in sustainability and social impact, as founder/CEO of GreenHubAfrica and youth engagement consultant to the World Resources Institute in New York for Nigeria, Henry’s expertise includes program and syllabus/curricullum design, youth capacity building in the arease of Circularity and Waste Management.
With over 25 years of experience, Henry has made significant contributions to various organizations, including the United Nations, FCMB, Sterling Bank, and Emirates. His career highlights include collaborations with renowned brands like Coca-Cola, Unilever, MTN, and Pepsi, delivering impactful Brand Marketing and Sustainability solutions.
As the convener of the annual UN World Environment Day, hosted at the UN House Abuja for the past 5 years, Henry has been at the forefront of promoting environmental awareness and sustainable practices, with his philosophy of “catching them young”.
